Today I’m another year older. I bought myself a mini cake/cupcakes. Oh and I
bought candles because its MY BIRTHDAY!!!!:) So in honor of my precious life, here are 21 things I am aiming to focus on with this new age! Enjoy.

  1. Seek God wholeheartedly.
I don’t feel like my faith is where it needs to be. I keep trying to come up with a time that I can have a “date” with God. I’m realizing at the end of the day I am too tired to open up my bible or I make excuses. In the morning I don’t have much time, but if I wake up earlier I have plenty of time! If I wake up at 5 instead of 550 that gives me plenty of time to open my bible and seek God AND enough time to get ready before formation. So this year, I want to seek God every day. I want to open my bible every day and read. Not only read my bible, but spend time writing in my journal while reading like I used to. I want to focus on God with my whole heart. I want to hear God’s voice again and feel better about my faith.

3. Love myself
I feel like I’m constantly at war with myself. There’s always a battle going on inside my head. I swear I’m tired of it- always beating myself up over something, being too hard on myself, holding myself to crazy expections… Ugh no! I just need to stop! I need to stop and love myself. So this year that’s one of my major focus points. I notice that when I do hobbies and read my bible its easier to love myself because I’m doing things that make me feel good about myself.

4. Make hobbies a priority
I need to utilize the time I’ve been given and enjoy the things I like before I’m too old! So this year I’m focusing on making my hobbies a priority. Hobbies like yoga and running. Also getting a pedicure at least once a month. 😉

5.  Nourish my mind, body & soul
This point is kind of self explanatory. I just want to take care of myself better. I want to be a healthier version of myself. To me I can be healthier physically by eating foods that give me energy like vegetables and fruit. I can also be healthier physically by doing my daily physical training (PT). I can be healthier in my mind and soul by loving myself, being kind to myself and holding true to my beliefs.

6. Expand my knowledge
I would like to know more. More about common sense things (things that I should know- like coffee). I want to know about history, about animals. I want to go to museums and learn about different cultures. I want to expand my knowledge in many ways.

7. Explore more
I want to see the beautiful places the Lord has created.

8. Be creative
I want to express myself with more then words. I want to design my own throw pillows. I want to make art and projects so I can be as creative as I can be.

9. Save money
Not just aimlessly spend just to spend money but to save money for future experiences and memories.

10. Treat myself when earned
Treat myself to ice cream or a new makeup product I’ve been wanting to try… Because I earned it (got an A on a test, etc.)

11. Nourish my relationships

12. Expand my collection of makeup

13. Take more pictures
And keep them- even the bad ones. I’ll laugh later on.

14. Pray more

15. Live life
Go out. Meet new people. Try new things. See the world.

16. Laugh more

17. Smile more

18. Let my faith be strong

19. Believe in myself

20. Enjoy the simple things

21. Commit to my goals. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
