Life change

What does it mean to have a life change in Christ?

Last Sunday my church preached a sermon about life changes and how once we know Christ and have been saved, we have to be open to having our lives changed. To me that means, things in our lives change for the better. Yet in the midst of all these changes it’s uncomfortable at times, scary and completely unknown.

Personally, I’m not sure if I’ve had a complete life change. I think as believers since the day we got saved, we are in the process of a life change. I think the moments in our lives even the small ones teach us to either surrender to God and be more like Him OR fall back in our old ways. It’s like every single day we are either growing in Christ or falling backwards to the world.

And to be completely honest it’s hard  to see everyone else so confident in their faith when you’re uncertain of your own. I don’t know about you but, I follow all of these amazing faith accounts. Each one is presented perfectly with beautiful pictures and carefully attached to meaningful words. And when I look at my life I can’t help but think ‘man I wish I had faith like that’. Ugh 😑 I feel like I’ve been comparing my faith and that has caused me to feel soooo  inadequate and fake.

But today I deleted my Instagram app, Pinterest app and deactivated my facebook. Because well I realized something great and true.

I am in the process of a life change and I always will be. Why? Because as believers in Christ our ulitimate goal should be to be like Him! He who is blameless, pure, forgiving, and who loves us beyond comprehension! He is so great and He does great things for us!

I’m excited to see what kind of life changes happen in 2017! God is so faithful!!! If you got anything out of this it’s that, continue on your life change in Christ.

  2. Thanks for sharing this! You are truly an amazing young woman and Sister in Christ!
    Just a few words :
It’s good setting up good goals in life, but don’t let this distract you from just resting in Christ himself!
As a medical doctor since 30 years I have met many patients so anxious to do everything perfect for their health that they forget to allow themselves to relax and feel that they in fact are already det healthy.
One thing that we tend to forget is that we are proclaiming Christ by just being who we are in our everyday lives.
Abandonment to Divine Providence is a wonderful little book, free online, by Jean-Pierre de Caussade. In short: Do whatever you have to do, and leave the rest to God.
Dear Sister, you are already presenting God to other people just being who you are, and of course through your blog!
